2011 NFL Draft Update

By | Apr 27, 2011

Cam NewtonWith the continuing lockout the 2011 NFL season may be in jeopardy although that won’t stop the NFL Draft, which gets started Thursday night.

Even though most feel Cam Newton will go first, there is still no consensus on who will be the top picks in the draft, or in NFL Draft Betting Odds. Many feel the Carolina Panthers will take the Auburn Tigers standout quarterback as they hold the first pick although there has been no word from the Panthers on that.

How the top teams may draft this week, here’s a look at.

Panthers: Carolina will likely take Newton even with no confirmation though DT Marcell Dareus is also a possibility.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos will likely pick Dareus if Carolina takes Newton. Denver would do well taking the top defensive player in the draft.

Buffalo Bills: Many feel the Bills will go with LB Von Miller, a former standout with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Cincinnati Bengals: For the Bengals, Wide Receiver A.J. Green is the likely pick.

St. Louis Cardinals: None of the football writers who cover the Cardinals think the team will take QB Blaine Gabbert of the Missouri Tigers, although almost everyone else thinks they will.
